There are many technologies that have changed society and the way we live and portray things.
One of the technologies that has changed the world was elevators. here is one of the sketches from the German engineer Konrad Kyeser in 1406 show the first idea for the elevator."A type of vertical transportation that moves people or goods between floors (levels, decks) of a building, vessel, or other structure." (wikipedia). One of the few major elevator manufacturers is Otis which was introduced in 1853. "The man riding the hoist was Elisha Graves Otis, the founder and namesake of our company. With his safety brake, Otis literally started the elevator industry. His invention enabled buildings – and architects’ imaginations – to climb ever skyward, giving a new and bolder shape to the modern urban skyline."
Another technology is the television and its broadcast system. The television was initially invented around the 1920's by many people actually. here's one example," An American inventor, Charles Francis Jenkins, also pioneered the television. He published an article on "Motion Pictures by Wireless" in 1913, but it was not until 1923 that he transmitted moving silhouette images for witnesses; and it was on 13 June 1925 that he publicly demonstrated synchronized transmission of silhouette pictures." But the idea itself was introduced by Alexander Bain in 1843-46. Television has now become the broadcast medium for the whole world for entertainment, politics, news, and anything else that mass amounts of people wanted to or needed to know. the first mass produced television was the RCA 630-TS. by the mid 2010's, major television manufacturers discontinued CRT, DLP, plasma and even fluorescent-backlit LCD's.
Technology can be good or bad, big or small, simple or complex, its everywhere.
